Mir Group, the South India based, multi-faceted business house is diversifying its portfolio into the sector of professional management education. The group has founded a new subsidiary 'Mir Education Foundation' to promote education and the foundation will set up a series of initiatives under the MCME (Mir Centre for Management Excellence) banner. Cochin, Mir Education Foundation will be setting up similar MCME centers at other cities in South India. Upholding an innovative approach to education, MCME represents an ambitious step in translating learning into a lifetime of global opportunities. The first MCME centre will be launched in December 2008 and initially, courses will be offered in Hotel Management, Cabin Crew Training and IELTS. In the coming years, several other professional courses in tourism and other management disciplines will also be offered.
